Bio: Barataria Communications was started by Morgan Molthrop, a native New Orleans writer and historical "color analyst" with a specialty in Louisiana history and local art. Molthrop collaborated with word-renowned photographer Tina Freeman on the groundbreaking book ARTIST SPACES, New Orleans (UL Press). His work with Ms. Freeman revealed a unique talent in helping artists and authors to bring their projects to fruition. Barataria helps authors organize, edit, sell and market their works. The Barataria imprint works in association with UL Press for corporate and regional books. Molthrop is also the author of "Andrew Jackson's Playbook: 15 Strategies for Success from the Battle of New Orleans to the New Nola." An attorney, executive, educator and Wall Street consultant, he is also Creative Director of Custom New Orleans, the city's leading cultural event planning company. His latest work with Laura Kelley on THE IRISH IN NEW ORLEANS has provided an opportunity for new insight into the city's rich Irish heritage. Molthrop also Chairs the New Orleans Athletic Club's Lecture Series, providing a forum for authors and civic leaders for the "New New Orleans."
